1 John 3:9 NKJV - "Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God."
1 John 1:8 NKJV - "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us."
Answer:
Who is born of God? According to the words said by the Lord God, if the one, who changes in his mind and repents for his sins, dedicated him himself to the Lord through the faith, and be born through the water and through the Spirit, such person could not do the sin in any situations.
Moses was called by the Lord God near the bush burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed on the mount Horeb. Moses dedicated himself to the Lord. So, he got the title as the faithful one among the house of the Lord in his divine service.
Samuel was called by the Lord in his child hood. And he was born in the Spirit of the Lord and was grown up in the fellowship of the Spirit and became the mighty prophet among the prophets. He was born of the Lord, so he did not commit sin.
Mary, the mother of the Lord Jesus, and John the Baptist got the Baptism by the surrounding of the Holy Spirit. So, they did not commit sin. The Best one more than all, the Son of God, the Lord Christ was not born through the intervention of a man or the lust of flesh. He was born by the seed of the Spirit through the Virgin Mary. And He got Baptism through the water and through the Spirit. So, He did not do sin.
1John 1:8, “If we say that we have not sinned, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us”. Why?
Commonly, we think that lies, theft, adultery, etc., are the sins. But, James added one more thing. James 4:17, “Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.” If anyone did sin, we must rebuke him and train him in correct way. If we have no such power, we must cooperate with our neighbors and put him in correct way. If we and our neighbors have no such power, we must cooperate with elders of the society and make him in correct path. Then also, if he did not follow the word, leave him forever. The sin, which was done unknowingly, may follow in our life. But, it is written in 1 Timothy 1:13 that we obtain mercy from these sins.
The main matter is if we say that we have not sinned, it equals to exalt ourselves. So, it would have become proud nature. When a man exalts the Lord Christ, the Lord Christ humbled Himself before the Lord God. Luke 18: 19- 20, now a certain ruler asked Him, saying, “Good Teacher what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good, but one, that is, God”.
