Question 30 - Heartless Jehovah!

Lamentations 3:33 NKJV - "For He does not afflict willingly, Nor grieve the children of men."
Psalm 136:1-2 NKJV - "Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Oh, give thanks to the God of gods! For His mercy endures forever."
Exodus 34:6 NKJV - "And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, "The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth"
Deuteronomy 7:2, 16 NKJV - ""and when the LORD your God delivers them over to you, you shall conquer them and utterly destroy them. You shall make no covenant with them nor show mercy to them. ... "Also you shall destroy all the peoples whom the LORD your God delivers over to you; your eye shall have no pity on them; nor shall you serve their gods, for that will be a snare to you."
Deuteronomy 20:16 NKJV - ""But of the cities of these peoples which the LORD your God gives you as an inheritance, you shall let nothing that breathes remain alive"
Revelation 21:8 NKJV - "But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."
Inference in the question: - The Almighty Lord God, who does not afflict willingly, nor grieve the children of men, said, “You shall let nothing that breathes remain alive”. How can a merciful God say that?
Answer:
The Lord God did this for the sake of discipline. If our government hangs the murderers until the end of his breath, does it mean to say that our governments had no mercy or kindness?
The Lord’s motive is that each and every one should not perish and must enter the kingdom of God. So, He sent the Lord Christ in this world and compensated for sin. The greatest sinner, who committed sin amounting to the death punishment according to the rules of this world, if he repents in his last period for his sins, he is worthy to enter in the king of the Lord. It is informed to us in Luke 23:40-43 by the Lord God about His merciful motive. And also, He gave salvation to the Samaritan woman in John 4:4 and to the woman caught in adultery in John 8:3.
The Lord God got the hard nature according to the sins and trespasses of the first man by the violation of command and by yielding to the words of the serpent. The Lord God Himself behaved with hard nature to keep the human beings in discipline.

Oh! He is worthy to give life; He is worthy to take it. Are not all the authorities under the Lord the Creator?
