Its height was five cubits, and a line of thirty cubits measured its circumference. ... It was a handbreadth thick; and its brim was shaped like the brim of a cup, like a lily blossom. It contained three thousand baths."
Answer:

The same answer, which is written to the question No.36, is also to the question No.37. At first the prepared molten sea contained two thousand baths along with the two pillars before the temple. Thereafter, according to his rejoice or according to the need, he extended the height of pillars and the area of the molten sea. Again he prepared a molten sea by increasing its capacity to receive 3 thousand baths.
