Question 62 - Where is the righteous man to do the effectual fervent prayer?

James 5:16 NKJV - "Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."
Romans 3:10 NKJV - "As it is written: "There is none righteous, no, not one;"
Answer:
According to the Romans 3:10, “There is none righteous, no, not one; there is none who understands; there is none who seeks after God”. It is true.
As in James 5:16, the people may be healed by confessing their trespasses to one another and praying for one another. So, they are considered as the righteous one. The prayer of such people is accepted by the Lord.
Moses was a murderer. Samuel could not recognize the call of the Lord in his child hood. Abraham uttered a lie that his wife was his sister, because of the fear of death. Elijah fled, because he was afraid of Zezebel. Peter denied the Lord Christ with the fear of death. So, no one can be righteous from his child hood. But, during the period of his growth, he is aloof from the trespasses, transgressions and sins. According to the words of the Lord Christ, he gets a new birth by their faith. Whoever gets a new birth through the baptism, he is a righteous one. He is in the list of Holy people. The Lord God accepts the prayer of such person.

Peter denied the Lord Christ first, thereafter he repented for his sins and did many miracles and had the first position in the divine service. Thus, he gets a position of righteous one. Likewise, Paul the apostle being hard hearted and a murderer firstly, got a place of holy people and achieved first place in the righteous people.
